Marvel is releasing a series of short films in the build-up to the release of the Avengers movie. The first is called “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer,” it follows fan-favorite S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) on his way to New Mexico before the events of Thor.
Next, following the world-premiere screening of Green Lantern: The Animated Series this morning at New York Comic Con, Warner Bros. has released the opening scene of the first episode, which airs Nov. 11 on Cartoon Network.
Produced by Bruce Timm, the CG-animated action series follows the continuing adventures of Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps: “As Earth’s Green Lantern, Hal Jordan is used to being in dangerous situations—but he’s never faced anything like this! Set at the farthest reaches of deep space, Hal must face down an invasion from the Red Lantern Corps. Hal is soon joined by an all-new group of heroes on a mission to protect Guardian Space — and the Green Lantern Corps itself!”
The cartoon features the voices of Josh Keaton, Michael Clarke Duncan, Richard Green and Robert Englund.
