Welcome back to part two of our feature on Italian fashion model and September 2011, Cosplay Babe of the Month Pamela Colnaghi. Pamela did a great job on the first part of the interview so let’s get right back to the questions.
Comics Ninja:Pamela, we love your website www.pamelacolnaghi.com. Tell us a little bit about it.

Pamela: My website was born in 2001 with the birth of my cosplay passion, but in recent years has undergone several transformations. It started as a gallery of my cosplay pics, then, when I started posing as a model, I shifted the focus to my model portfolio. I was a conceptual model; I loved posing for special shots, not just glamour or portraits.
My website was closed for a couple of years and now has been reborn with new photoshootings and stuff about me. It is still under some construction, the new version (a flash pro) will be ready in a few months. I’m working for you! Now you can have a look at the provisional and easily version in the meantime.
Comics Ninja: What do you think of all of the attention you have gotten from the fanboys (and girls) on the internet and at conventions or events?
Pamela: Honestly I’ve gotten more attention from the fanboys than the girls hahah, but it definitely depends on the choice of my costumes. They are all so sexy and are inspired by the most beautiful femme fatales of manga and video games which every guy dreams of having as a neighbor!! Many people all from around the world have contacted me over the years to congratulate me, request cosplay that I could do or just to have advice. I’m glad of this but above that I’m also glad that many of them have never forgotten me and follow me, even during the years of my absence from the cosplay scene.
Comics Ninja: What is your best and worst fanboy experiences at the conventions or events?
Pamela: There were different beautiful experiences from roses received at home to the oil painting of me given to me years ago by a fan. There have been any letters and some requests for my autographed photo. The worst is definitely a boy who follows me from the beginning, but in the wrong way, he has gotten grabby. I have to change my email address and my phone number. And to lock him from social networks. Almost a case of stalking. But luckily, experiences are far more positive than negative.
Comics Ninja: What comic books are you personally reading right now? Favorite games or Anime?
Pamela: I have read many manga, but now with a child so little ( she’s now 2 years old) it’s impossible for me start to read! My favorite anime ever are the stories of Rumiko Takahashi and Mitsuru Adachi, the Majokko series and all the cartoons I grew up with… Creamy Mami, Lum, Cat’s Eyes, Ranma 1/2, Orange Road, Captain Tsubasa…. The old school is so much better for me.
For the second question I don’t play video games, I’ve only played sometimes with friends to play King of Fighters and other fighting games, that’s my favorite!
Comics Ninja: What character would you be if you could be any character in real life?
Pamela: Madoka Ayukawa from Orange Road is the one I like most, both physically and mentally. She has got long dark hair and light eyes and she also has a character that seems to be so mysterious but in truth she is a very sweet girl and you can trust her. Another one is certainly Faye Valentine, who does not stray much from Ayukawa. I love her strength and her sense of humor and the way she is so sexy! And, like me, she always fell in love with men that makes her cry!
Comics Ninja: Agreed. As a Ninja I make women cry all the time. Likewise, women are known to fall in love with me on the spot so I’ll try and keep my powers in check around you. Annyhoo, if you could have any superpowers what would they be?
Pamela: The power of stop the time, because sometimes I’m very sincere..too much! And to have that superpower would help me to think before I speak!! I’m planning to try some marvel superheroes… Elektra is on my TOP list now, other suggestions?
Comics Ninja: Hmm, suggestions, I lean towards Marvel and DC characters so I would have to say that you would make a great Black Widow, Harley Quinn or Baroness from G.I. Joe. Maybe even, and this is the imagination talking here, a grown up version of Pebbles from the Flintstones? Just thinking of the furry bikini costume. What costumes are you planning in the near future?
Pamela: Ohhh sooooooo many! First of all a costume I have wanted to wear for several years, is Major Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in The shell SAC. Then I’m working on a character of Dynasty Warriors, I will wear it in two versions for Lucca Comics and Games. And in the end of Dark Elf from Lineage II, it’s just a dream, I’ve never worked so hard for a costume like this up to now, but I hope to finish and wear it sooner or later…
Comics Ninja: Any advice for fellow cosplayers planning to go to the conventions dressed as their favorite characters in the future?
Pamela: Yes, you can cosplay the way you want, but remember that cosplay is not just sewing a perfect costume, but is also live acting. In a photoshoot you enter into the mood of the character, mostly people forget this part of the game. Cosplay can give you the beautiful possibilities to learn costuming or how to do makeup and other applications and to meet many friends and share with them your passion but you have to take it easy. Have fun! Have fun! Have fun! And don’t forget real life!
