Welcome back to to part two of our feature with May Cosplay Babe of the Month Jessie Pridemore. Great interview and photos so far! Now, let’s get to part two of our interview with Jessie.

Comics Ninja: What comic books are you personally reading right now? Favorite games or Anime?
Jessie: Continuously, I read xkcd, SMBC and Menage a 3, which are web comics. I am reading the Supergirl reboot and I was reading Hellboy before Mignola decided he was finished with Hellboy. Breaks my heart. I really don’t read as many comics as I should or as many as I used to, but I do keep tabs on them.

Favorite games. I’m a fan of anything Zelda, but Majora’s Mask is my favorite. I love Onimusha, Eternal Darkness and Resident Evil 3. Lately I’ve been reminiscing about older games I played like Snake Rattle and Roll and The Adventures of Lolo. I would be the happiest person in the world if they remade Lolo. Always a fan of the Metroid games. I wish I was better at games like Gears of War, but I’m terrible at them.
Jessie: I’ve watched a lot of anime over the years. Cowboy Bebop is still my number one favorite. But I also really like Ghost in the Shell, Galaxy Express 999, Armitage III, Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magika, ANYTHING involving the Fate series, Evangelion, Summer Wars… I’m sure there’s so many others. But there’s a few.
Comics Ninja: Wow, some great choices in there from Cowboy Bebop to Zelda. We’re sad on the Hellboy front as well. And now for the tough part of the interview. Better bar scene New Orleans or New York and why?
Jessie: Aww. I can’t really answer this question. I wasn’t of age when I lived in New Orleans and I didn’t start drinking til I was 21. Sorry!
Comics Ninja: All right let’s try a different direction then. Better movie Napoleon Dynamite or Scott Pilgrim vs. The World? Why? And yes, there is a right answer.
Jessie: I saw Scott Pilgrim after everyone had built it up to be the greatest movie ever made and really didn’t enjoy it. I know I probably need to see it again but to me it was… boring? It was really slow. The visuals were great though and there were some really good one liners. I saw Napoleon Dynamite in a small indy theater before it blew up. We regularly went there to see movies and thought it looked funny. That movie had me laughing so hard I thought I was going to die. So probably the wrong answer, but there you go!
Comics Ninja: The right answer was that there was no right answer (said in our best ninja voice)! What character would you be if you could be any character in real life?
Jessie: I don’t know. Maybe Alita. Gunm is such a bad ass. I wish i could be as cool as her.
Comics Ninja: If you could have any superpowers what would they be?
Jessie: The power to know, understand, read and write any language. I think that would be one of the most handiest things in the world. For something a little less nerdy, flying would be pretty bad ass.
Comics Ninja: What costumes are you planning in the near future?
Jessie: Right now I’m working on Fran from FFXII and Test suit Asuka from Eva 2.0. I have some other ones I’m working on, but those are the big ones.
Comics Ninja: Any advice for fellow cosplayers planning to go to the conventions dressed as their favorite characters in the future?
Jessie: Have fun! Think outside the box. Wear make-up and dance tights. The most important thing is to have fun though. If you aren’t having fun, then what’s the point?
Comics Ninja: Any last parting pearls of wisdom or otherwise to pass onto the readers? Any websites we should check out to see more of your wonderful costumes?
