This contest is too close to call with each contest garnering an amazing 450 votes each so far. Voting was to cut-off tonight at midnight but we will extend the voting until the morning. Great comments and thank you for the 7,000 pageviews over the last 24 hours, this has been a lot of fun and judging by the comments below we are very excited about the passion the fans are exhibiting for their favorite cosplayers and cosplaying in general. The staff here at Comics Ninja only have the talent and guts to wear our favorite Star Wars or Batman shirt out in public or to the conventions so kudos to these brave and artistic ladies!

Wow, what a contest so far for Cosplay Babe of the Year! Thousands of fans have voted and we are down to our final four of Tanya Tate, Claire Max, Lindze A’La Mode and Riddle. In our final four we will pair off Tanya Tate against Claire Max in the first match-up and two Georgia residents, Riddle and Lindze A’La Mode, in the second with the winner of each of those contests squaring off next weekend Cosplay Babe of the Year honors.

Seriously though, this is a COSPLAY contest, not a Halloween Costume contest. Buying costumes at Party City or having your fans buy your Party City costumes that you wear is not COSPLAY. Claire puts a lot of work into making her costumes herself, thus she deserves to win. Not only is she a very talented seamstress, but she’s a beautiful, talented girl who deserves merit on her skill.

It’s a shame, all the mean and hateful things being said about either of these ladies. Especially about Ms. Tate…it doesn’t matter what her profesdion is, nor should it. Some disturbing and unnecessary things were said in some comments at that ign site. Keep it classy, folks. It’s just a contest.
And Claire doesn’t run a sweat shop in Peru. Her stuff is hand sewn by blind orphans at a hospital in Guam. Get your facts straight.

Agreed! I prefer to vote for someone who actually has a costume on that shows a little taste and style. Claire Max shows her classy side! Tanya, not so much. I’m thinking, she got her costumes at the After Halloween sale or the adult shop?

I vote for Claire… Her costumes are awesome. She looks totally different in each one she puts on while Tanya looks pretty much exactly the same in each one. Clair looks as if she becomes the person for each costume she is wearing.

Claire Max. He costumes are actually decent. The opponent is just showing off her lovely chest.
Cosplay still is drawn from two words: costume and play.
It seems that mostly one of these 2 are easily forgotten although they should be in harmony.
For this reason I believe in my opinion that Claire Max has more potential:
1) different outfits => different challenges with making those
2) different type of characters/personality => different way of posing herself and “act” as in “play”
So in short she has my vote
