Wow, what a contest so far for Cosplay Babe of the Year! Thousands of fans have voted and we are down to our final four of Tanya Tate, Claire Max, Lindze A’La Mode and Riddle. In our final four we will pair off Tanya Tate against Claire Max in the first match-up and two Georgia residents, Riddle and Lindze A’La Mode, in the second with the winner of each of those contests squaring off next weekend Cosplay Babe of the Year honors.

Both women are fantastic, but Claire Max has more flair and effort into her costumes. Tonya’s Green Lantern costume is by far the best Lantern costume out there and I never get tired of looking at that shot.

I have to vote for Claire on this one. Her costumes have that hint of personality and class that I love to see in cosplaying.
I have to vote for Claire she wears her costumes with charm and sass without being BAAAAAAAAAMBOOBIES- also, Claire is beyond accomidating to artists who ask quickly for a picture just because her costumes rock our socks and she then actually looks at books! Very few cos players as popular as Claire take her time to do that. So not only for her amazing Cos-Play but her delightful attitude CLAIRE!

Both girls are sweethearts, but my vote goes to Claire by far – she sewed that Ivy costume from scratch, and I MUCH prefer the way she styled her own storebought Green Lantern gear! She’s just an ethereal beauty.
CLAIRE MAX is the BABE of the CENTURY. She handcrafted most of those outfits, from the sketches to stitching on tons of sequins. She has a college degree in fashion design. Hello! This girl is smart and sexy Not only is she adorable, Stan Lee loves her and has given her personal shout outs on the world wide web. if Stan Lee approves, what more needs to be said?
Tanya looks like the halloween ad for American Apparel Halloween Costumes for $19.99. She very pretty, but the costumes look kinda clearance rack.

Tanya Tate’s Green Lantern costume is a pre-made out of the box Halloween costume by Rubies Costumes. Just google Sexy Green Lantern Costume and you’ll find it, she just cut out the middle to show her boobs. If someone is going to win this it should be someone who is cosplaying to the max which means making their own costumes.

Thanks everyone for your votes! I suggest you go read the interviews before you decide which girl to vote for just based on the pictures. I do in fact make every single one of my costumes from scratch, and I choose characters because I love them and follow the comics religiously. I’m not sure Tanya can say the same.

While Cliare’s Poison Ivy is amazing, I don’t know who she’s supposed to be in her other 2 pics. If this is a cosplay contest, costuming would have to be key…! Tanya’s costumes are recognizable pop-culture costumes, while Claire’s “black bride”, while lovely, I have no idea who she’s supposed to be & her “green Lantern” is just jeans & a t-shirt (hardly a costume)… Besides, anyone who can pull off an ElectraWoman outfit has my vote…
Not to rain on anyone’s parade but this contest is for 2011 Cosplay Babe of the Year. I don’t know either of these girls so I’m unbiased… but…
Tanya Tate is wearing two out of the box Halloween costumes and I don’t think that at all encompasses Cosplay Babe of the Year. Go to google and type in “sexy Emma Frost costume” and “sexy Green Lantern costume”. You can see the those two costumes she’s wearing are clearly made by Sassy Prestige and Rubies Costume… the green lantern one has been modified just by cutting a chunk out the middle to show her boobs. Someone really dropped the ball by not looking into that before putting her in this contest if this is truly a “cosplay” contest.
Claire Max on the other hand has clearly crafted her costumes. And there’s really nothing more to say about that. She clearly have actually has put forth work and effort into her cosplaying and that’s something makes her worthy of the title.
Ok I’ll be quiet now, but that’s my two cents.

Tanya doesn’t have a green lantern ring on in her costume… I don’t think her costumes were sewn together very well. I believe she has potential, but there is plenty of room to grow as a seamstress.
Claire’s costumes were put together quite nicely, and it is quite clear that she is a pro, just look at those seams!! Also, a big part of cosplaying is how the cosplayer is represented in the photo, the surrounding and her emotions were shown perfectly, and it is obvious that she thought about every tiny detail. Claire is a hero to nerd girls like me, keep up the amazing work!!
Her costumes don’t fit because their store bought ones made in china by children whereas Claire makes all her costumes & they fit perfectly!
Claire actually Cosplays.. makes her costumes and puts thought into her characters. From these picture Tanya looks like a booth babe in a store bought costume.. Sure she’s pretty and know her assets but is that really “cosplay”

I don’t know Tanya , she’s a lovely gal to be sure , but it’s already been mentioned that her outfits are store bought , whereas Claire puts in the time , hard work and dedication that only a true cosplayer can. Claire is a true comic book fan….she knows her stuff. She’s an excellent seamstress , a class act and when the word “Babe” was coined as we know it years ago , they must’ve had Claire Max in mind! The Poison Ivy pic….her work here is brilliant! And if you didn’t fall in love with her after seeing her as Dark Phoenix , you need to have your pulse AND your eyes checked!
(Also…she made her U.S.O. Girl outfit AND her fiance’s movie style Captain America costume in a matter of a few WEEKS before SDCC this year…and then was proposed to there ONSTAGE…and Stan The Man gave them his Marvelous blessing…’Nuff said , True Believers!!)

LOL @ the Tanya hate. If you look on her cosplay site SHE ACTUALLY DOES have non-store bought costumes. What makes it even funnier is that one picture of the other girl is that she is wearing “store bought” Green Lantern sleepewear. Does that even count as cosplay?
Even the costumes of Tanya’s that are “non-store bought ” weren’t made by her. Cosplay is a great deal about the crafting of the costumes. All tanya does is show up at a con and look pretty, hoping to get more fans to watch her moors and make her money. Real cosplayers like Claire don’t get anything out of it except the joy of portraying their favorite characters.
Have you looked at Claire’s OTHER photos? Yeah, every single one of those costumes is handmade from scratch. The green lantern outfit wasn’t even a cosplay, like she says on her page it was just something cute she wore for a photoshoot. Claire didn’t get to choose which photos are shown here, and if you ask me these three images aren’t a good representation of her true skill.
