Comics:Two of the most sought-after images in comic book history stand within the reach of one or two lucky buyers in a historic auction celebrating the work of a comic book legend in Jerry RobinsonThe images include the Joker looming over the Dynamic Duo and as Superman stands tall, in front of an iconic American shield, an eagle perched on his shoulder.   For the first time ever, the original art boards for these two classic covers will be put up for auction. Starting Wednesday, 11/10 until 12/1, as part of ComicConnect.com’s November/December Event AuctionDC Comics.

Movies: The weekend box office wrap-up.  Megamind seizes number one on a busy weekend.  The holiday movie season started off with a bang as three new releases pumped in over $100M in ticket sales allowing the top ten to surge to its highest level since July. Leading the charge was the animated comedy Megamind which didn’t have a mega opening, but still delivered a solid debut at number one. Premiering in second place with strength was the R-rated comedy Due Date while the Tyler Perry film For Colored Girls enjoyed a sturdy debut of its own in third place.  Rotten Tomatoes.

 Movies: Dreamworks has released the traler for Kung Fu Panda 2.

 In addition to the trailer, DreamWorks has released an official plot synopsis for the film:

Po is now living his dream as The Dragon Warrior, protecting the Valley of Peace alongside his friends and fellow kung fu masters, The Furious Five – Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey. But Po’s new life of awesomeness is threatened by the emergence of a formidable villain, who plans to use a secret, unstoppable weapon to conquer China and destroy kung fu. It is up to Po and The Furious Five to journey across China to face this threat and vanquish it. But how can Po stop a weapon that can stop kung fu? He must look to his past and uncover the secrets of his mysterious origins; only then will he be able to unlock the strength he needs to succeed.

Kung Fu Panda 2: The Kaboom of Doom lands in theaters on May 27, 2011.
