After issue 1 rampaged off shelves and into the hearts and minds of comic fans, SKULLKICKERS #2 follows suit with a distribution-level sell out!

Demand for SKULLKICKERS is soaring, so Image Comics has ordered a second printing of the pulse-pounding second issue. It will be in stores November 10, 2011.

SKULLKICKERS scribe Jim Zubkavich (POPGUN, Street Fighter Legends: Ibuki) says, “When the gang at Image contacted me to let me know that issue #2 had blown through its overprint right after release, I couldn’t believe it. My friend Joe Vriens sent a pin-up we intended to put in the back of our next issue, but we quickly drafted that sweet piece as our second print #2 cover.”

More Star Wars News: Rumors of new trilogy appear to be true.  According to reliable source IESB.net, it has been told fans can expect the new trilogy after the entire saga is released in 3D which is expected to be complete around 2015 or 2016.  Uncle George’s modus operandi has not changed, the plan is that he will self finance the new trilogy after he rakes in an expected $500 – $750 million dollars with the re-release of the entire Star Wars Saga in 3D and on Blu-Ray.

The ideal plan, according to their spy at Skywalker Ranch, is to be able to release a new Star Wars film within 24 months after the release of the last re-re-release (is that right?) of Return of the Jedi 3D.  Too early for story details but one thing that their source is certain about, they will not be prequels but instead sequels.  It’s not for certain if they will be the long awaited Episodes 7, 8 and 9 but could instead be Episodes 10, 11 and 12 or possibly even further out in the Star Wars timeline.  And by giving space in the timeline, possibly even as far as 100 years or 1,000 years in the Star Wars universe future, Lucas avoids having to make these stories “fit in” with what the previous stories have told.  According to our sources, the most likely scenario for the films is that they will exist in the same universe but will not have anything to do with the Skywalker Clan. That story has been told, that starship has sailed.  Read more at IESB.net.

Movies: Weekend boxoffice wrap up.  Paranormal #2 scares up top spot.  This weekend moviegoers were in the mood for a good scare as the supernatural thriller Paranormal Activity 2 topped the North American box office beating out high expectations and generated the biggest opening ever for a horror film in the Halloween month of October. Paramount captured the top two spots as its other fall sequel Jackass 3D fell sharply from its opening last weekend but still kept bringing in the cash with a strong second place finish. The studio’s dynamic duo accounted for half of all ticket sales for the Top 20. Clint Eastwood’s Hereafter enjoyed a moderate debut in fourth place as it went nationwide while most holdovers remained solid with declines of less than 35%.  Rotton Tomatoes.
