It that time of year again Ninja Nation, be on the look out for Meade swilling friars, land locked pirate crews and sweet little fairies of the wood. That’s right it’s Renaissance Festival season once again, rejoice!

While the festivals around the nation differ based upon geographic location, invariably they are an opportunity to bring out your best costumes and lose yourself in another century for a day with like minded revelers. Note, costumes are not necessary but they do add to the sense of fun.

The illusion of a rollicking 16th Century English festival is recreated with village streets packed with artisans who create original works of their ancient craft. The smells of roast turkey legs, steak on a stake, fresh baked goods and much more abound. Let us know in the comments section below where you are going and what you will be dressed up as this year.
