The California State Parks Foundation has reached out to the Comics Ninja and asked us to spread the word about their Second Annual California State Parks Foundation film series which will feature Star Wars Episode VI Return of the Jedi this year. The film series will benefit endangered State Parks and feature movie and television selections containing key scenes shot in California’s abundantly diverse state parks, which Hollywood has used for locations
for 90 years.
Fans of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi will immediately recognize its redwood-forest Endor scenes, even if those fans don’t know the exact names of the two state parks in Humboldt County in which they were shot. The print to be screened was made for the Star Wars Trilogy: Special Edition, which Lucasfilm released on Star Wars’ 20th anniversary in 1997.
A special screening will be held on:
Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010
The Paramount Theater, Paramount Studios, 5555 Melrose Ave., Los
Angeles, CA 90038
1:30 p.m.: Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi
