Avengers fans Assemble! Avengers Day is upon us!
With the historic release of Brian Michael Bendis and John Romita Jr.’s AVENGERS #1 today, May 19 to comic stores everywhere, it’s party time — Avengers style!
Today participating retailers will be celebrating Avengers Day with free stuff, exclusive variants and so much more! Here’s some of the cool stuff to look out for when you get to your participating local comic shop:

So, we got our hands on a copy of Avengers #1 yesterday and what a disapointment the artwork was. Yes, we know there were untold previews of the series artwork but we here in the Ninja Nation are huge Avengers fans and we love Bendis’ writing so we hoped some how it would all come together. It did not. Romita, Jr’s art work at best was cartoony and it appeared to be aimed at the 5-10 year old set.
I had to use my Ninja abilities and cleave to the shadows so that nobody saw me reading this kiddy book in public. The artwork was so bad and so distracting that it frankly ruined the issue. We may not return for a second issue.
