Happy New Comic Books Day, Ninja Nation. Here is what we couldn’t wait to get in our hot little hands today!
Amazing Spider-Man #650
All right, let’s get this out in the open, we are only going to recommend getting this issue because we are Spider-Man fans here in the Ninja Lair and when Amazing Spider-Man hits a milestone like issue #650 then we have to get it. With that said, a new armor uniform for Spidey? This is ridiculous. What makes the Spider-Man character so great is that he is more human and identifiable than the run of the mill invulnerable or impervious if you will superheroes. He has vulnerabilities and this makes his stories more interesting. Now we have an armored suit, it seems new writer Dan Slott may be armored up against any good ideas for his new run on the Spider-Man flagship title. Let’s hope this quickly goes the way of other bad ideas from the past.
Anyway, From Marvel Comics and the afore mentioned Dan Slott, to face off against an amped-up HOBGOBLIN, you need an amped-up SPIDER-MAN! What’s the story behind Spidey’s NEW SUIT? What is it and what can it do? Meanwhile, MACH 5 (from THE THUNDERBOLTS) faces off against one of Spidey’s deadliest foes! All this, and a secret side mission for THE BLACK CAT. Plus an additional 8 page story: We showed you who was behind the HOBGOBLIN’S mask last issue. But what were they up to BEFORE their startling return? Here’s where you find out!
